The Sonnet Of Lost Friend

"The Sonnet Of Lost Friend" by Syed Sohail Ahmed.

Oh, woe! My heart is heavy with great pain,
For you, my dear, have left this earthly plain.
Our bond, so strong, will never be the same,
And life without you is a different game.

Your love, a light that shone so bright and clear,
A soul so pure, so kind, and always near,
Your laughter, like a melody, I hear,
But now, it's gone, and I am left with tears.

We shared our dreams, our fears, our joy, our strife,
And walked together through the storms of life,
In every step, you were my faithful guide,
A friend so true, I'll never leave aside.

Yet now, you rest in peace, so far away,
A part of me gone with you on that day.
But though your body lies in a silent sleep,
Your memory forever in my heart, I'll keep.

I'll miss your smile, your touch, your voice, your grace,
And long to see you, in another place,
But till we meet again, my dear, in time,
I'll hold you close in thought, and heart, and rhyme.
