The Sonnet Of Admiring Love

"The Sonnet Of Admiring Love" by Syed Sohail Ahmed.

Oh, how I long to know her innermost thoughts,
Through the depths of her shying eyes I'd dive,
Or decipher her intentions, though words are fraught,
And understand the sacrifices she'd survive.

Her smile, a beacon that draws me in,
So bright and warm, meant just for me,
And yet her true strength lies within,
Hidden from sight, a mystery to see.

Alas! My eyes cannot see beyond her guise,
Beloved, let your hands guide mine,
Let your heart's message flow through your veins and rise,
And your care be felt in your skin so fine.

Speak, my love, and let yourself be known,
For in your silence, my heart feels alone.
And oh, how you listen with a smile so bright,
Though pain may be lurking deep within,
Your eyelids flutter, fearful of the light,
That might reveal the pain you keep within.

Oh, rare are the women such as thee,
Whose beauty lies not in appearances fair,
But in the strength and love that we see,
And the sacrifices made, beyond compare.

Beloved, let me be one who admires,
And let my love for you light the fires.
